City Engineer 979-337-7594 City of Brenham 2001 Bond Funds Street Improvements consisted of paving, drainage and utility improvements on Old Mill Creek Road, Tom Green Street at South Day Street and Austin Street, Pecan Street and Stringer Street within the City of Brenham, Texas. Paving and drainage improvements included common excavation; 8-inch-thick cement stabilized subgrade; 8-inch-thick flexible base course; 1-1/2-inch-thick HMAC surface course; level-up HMAC overlay; 8-inch-thick reprocessed sand/gravel base; reinforced concrete curb and gutter; 4-inch-thick reinforced concrete paving; 8-inch-thick reinforced concrete pavement repair; triple 8-foot x 4-foot and 7-foot x 4-foot reinforced concrete culverts; 10-foot and 5-foot reinforced concrete curb inlets; 2-36-inch and 1-24-inch reinforced concrete headwalls; reinforced concrete valley gutters; reinforced concrete junction box; 42-inch, 36-inch, 30-inch, 24-inch, 18-inch and 15-inch RCP storm sewers; crushed rock/concrete rubble rip rap; street signs; erosion control; hydromulching and removing and disposing of existing curb and gutter. Utility improvements included 8-inch water line; gate valves and boxes; tapping sleeves; fire hydrants; tie-ins; 6-inch sewer line and relocating irrigation system.
